Hey there! Thank you for visiting my page. I’m a strategic storyteller with an eye for character and community development, driven by results and always on a deadline. I’m currently using my innovative communications skills to promote the excellent work happening within the City of Columbus, specifically, Columbus Public Health.
Columbus is home! I was raised in Bexley and studied communications with a focus in journalism, as well as visual communications at Loyola University Chicago.
After graduating, I moved to Kansas as a multi-skilled journalist for the local NBC affiliate, KSN-TV, shooting and editing news stories spanning 20 counties as a solo bureau reporter in Garden City before joining the morning show in Wichita. In 2017 news brought me back to Columbus to report for the station I grew up watching, WBNS 10TV.
At 10TV I dipped into a little bit of everything, including live reporting, anchoring, traffic reporting, social media and campaign work. It was within that role that I discovered I enjoyed using storytelling to build up the community, which is what led to my current role as a public relations specialist for the city.
In my time at Columbus Public Health I've found that I enjoy using storytelling and results-driven marketing to share messages promoting health department services, whether that is an uptick in naloxone distribution or an increase in visits to health department clinics. Seeing our messaging and educational materials reach the communities that need them, positively impacting lives, is rewarding beyond measure.
